§ LORD JAMES OF HEREFORDMy Lords, I beg to give notice that on Wednesday, the 21st instant, I shall call attention to the present methods of selecting and appointing Justices of the Peace, and move "That a Select Committee be appointed to consider and report whether any and what steps should be taken to facilitate the selection of the most suitable persons to be Justices of the Peace irrespective of creed and political opinion."
