§ THE DUKE OF BEDFORDI beg to ask the Under-Secretary of State for War the number of Volunteer officers who have resigned their commissions between the 1st January and 16th May, 1908, and the number of officers who have joined the Volunteer force between the 1st January, and 16th May, 1908.
LORD LUCASThe number of combatant Volunteer officers who resigned their commissions, between 1st January and 16th May, is 323, and the number of those who joined during the same period is 204. All these resignations and appointments bear date prior to 1586 the 1st April, 1908, and we have not got, since that date, the correct figures for the rest of that time. I can only give it up to the 1st April.
