Message from the Commons that they have come to the following Resolution to which they desire the concurrence of this House, viz., that it is expedient that a Select Committee of Five Members of this House be appointed to join with a Committee of an equal number of Lords to consider and inquire into the law: (1) As to lotteries, including the sale of lottery bonds, competitions for prizes which involve an element of chance, and advertisements relating thereto; (2) As to indecent literature and pictures and advertisements relating to things indecent and immoral; and to report what Amendments, if any, in the law are necessary or desirable.
