HL Deb 30 June 1908 vol 191 c495
THE EARL OF DONOUGHMORE

My Lords, I have a notice on the Paper for to-morrow— To call attention to the delays in connection with the provision and distribution of the funds required for the carrying out of the purposes of the Irish Land Act, 1903; and to ask His Majesty's Government whether they propose to take any steps to secure the effective carrying out of the purchase provisions of the Act; and to move for Papers. I have been in communication with His Majesty's Government, and I understand that it will facilitate their arrangements if the debate is postponed. I am, of course, very glad to agree to their suggestion, and I intend to put the notice down for Wednesday, 15th July, if that will be convenient to your Lordships.
