§ THE LORD PRIVY SEAL (The Marquess of RIPON)My Lords, I have endeavoured to ascertain what would be likely to be agreeable to the large majority of your Lordships in reference to our sittings, and, as far as I have been 498 able to obtain information, it appears to me that your Lordships favour the course which was followed during the Autumn Sittings, and prefer to meet on Wednesdays and not on Fridays. In these circumstances I beg to move the Motion which stands in my name on the Paper.
