My Lords, I beg to ask the noble Lord who represents the Foreign Office whether he is able to give the House any information as to the names of the delegates who will represent this country at the Hague Conference.

THE UNDER-SECRETAKY OF STATE FOR FOREIGN AFFAIRS (Lord FITZMAURICE)

The British Plenipotentiaries to the Conference will be the right hon. Sir Edward Fit, the right hon. Sir Ernest Satow, the right hon. Lord Reay, late President of the Institute of International Law, and Sir Henry Howard, His Majesty's Envoy Extraordinary and Minister Plenipotentiary at The Hague. In addition naval and military expert delegates will be appointed, whose names will be announced in due course.
