acquainted the House, That the Clerk of the Parliaments had laid upon the Table the Certificates from the Examiners that the further Standing Orders applicable to the following Bills have been complied with:— Local Government Provisional Orders (No. 1); London Government Scheme (Southwark Borough Market).

Also the Certificate that the Standing Orders applicable to the following Bill have not been complied with:—Electric Supply Corporation [H.L.].

The same were ordered to lie on the Table.

Electric Supply Corporation Bill [H.L.]. The Chairman of Committees informed the House that the opposition to the Bill was withdrawn.

Devonport Corporation Bill [H.L.]; Burnham (Somerset) Pier Bill [H.L.]; Middlesbrough Corporation Bill [H.L.]; Tees Conservancy Bill [H.L.]. Read 3a, and passed, and sent to the Commons.

Byrne's Divorce Bill [H.L.]; Galwey's Divorce Bill [H.L.]. Returned from the Commons agreed to.

Byrne's Divorce Bill [H.L.]. Minutes of evidence and proceedings before this House on the Second Reading, together with the documents deposited in the case, returned from the Commons.

Kendal Corporation Bill [H.L.]; Middlesbrough, Stockton-on-Tees, and Thornaby Tramways Bill [H.L.]; North British Railway Bill [H.L.]; Buckhaven Dock Bill [H.L]; |Birmingham Corporation Water Bill [H.L.]. Report from the Committee of Selection, That the Earl of Northbrook be proposed to the House as a member of the Select Committee on the said Bills in the place of the Lord Weardale; read, and agreed to.
