HL Deb 15 May 1906 vol 157 c316

House in Committee (according to Order.)

[The Earl of ONSLOW in the Chair.]

LORD BURGHCLERE

My Lords, there are no Amendments down to this Bill, but there may be some verbal Amendments necessary. In these circumstances, I think it would be better that they should be taken in the Standing Committee if the noble Marquess opposite will agree to that course.

THE MARQUESS OF LONDONDERRY

I offer no opposition to the course which the noble Lord proposes, provided that the verbal Amendments which he intends to propose do not essentially affect the the principle of the Bill.

Bill reported, without Amendment, to the House, and recommitted to the Standing Committee.
