THE SECRETARY OF STATE FOR THE COLONIES (The Earl of ELGIN)

My Lords, I have to inform the House that the Committee which is to proceed to South Africa has now been appointed. The members will be Sir West Ridgeway, who will be chairman, Lord Sandhurst, Sir Francis Hopwood, and Colonel Johnston. I propose to have laid on the Table the letter of instructions to the Committee.
