HL Deb 02 July 1906 vol 159 cc1335-6
LORD AVEBURY

My Lords, I ask permission to say a word or two which may be for the convenience of the House. The Bills of Exchange Bill stands for Second Reading to-morrow, but the noble and learned Lord on the Woolsack, whose time has been so very much occupied lately, has asked me to postpone it for this year, and has kindly promised that he will look into it before next session. I know what great pressure he has had upon him, and I felt I could not but assent to the request. I ask leave, therefore, to withdraw the Bill.

Order for resuming the debate, on the motion for the Second Reading Tomorrow, discharged; and Bill, by leave of the House, withdrawn.
