HL Deb 29 June 1905 vol 148 c478
THE EARL OF WEMYSS

My Lords, I beg to present a petition against the Sunday Closing (Shops) Bill from a meeting of Christian Sabbath keepers held at Exeter Hall, Strand, on May 25th.

LORD AVEBURY

My Lords, I also have petitions to present, but they are all in favour of the Bill. The first petition is from the Corporation of Glasgow, the second from the Presbytery of Glasgow, the third from the Free Church in Glasgow, and the fourth is a large petition from the traders in Glasgow.
