, who had given notice to move, in the event of the Bill being read 2a, that it be referred to a Joint Committee of Lords and Commons, said: My Lords, I understand that clauses have been agreed to by the promoters which safeguard the interests of the National Telephone Company in the direction in which they feared they were threatened, and under those circumstances I shall not move my Motion.
