HL Deb 20 July 1905 vol 149 c1304

[SECOND READING.]

Order of the Day for the Second Reading read.

THE LORD CHANCELLOR OF IRELAND (Lord ASHBOUHRNE)

My Lords, the object of the Bill which I now ask your Lordships to read a second time is to amend the law relating to County Courts in Ireland. It deals with many improvements which from time to time have been suggested in the administration of those Courts, and on former occasions Bills have been passed by your Lordships embodying nearly all the clauses in this Bill. I trust, therefore, that there will be no opposition to its Second Reading.

Moved, "That the Bill be now read 2a."—(Lord Ashbourne.)

On Question, Bill read 2a, and committed, to a Committee of the Whole House To-morrow.
