HL Deb 13 August 1904 vol 140 cc505-6

Order of the day read for the consideration of the Commons Amendments.

THE LORD CHANCELLOR (The Earl of HALSBURY)

In the absence of Lord Alverstone I would suggest the postponement of this Bill. I have not had an opportunity of considering the Amendments, and I cannot advise the House whether they should be accepted or not.

THE MARQUESS OF RIPON

Will that mean that the Bill will be lost?

THE EARL OF HALSBURY

Oh, no.

Consideration of Commons Amendments put off to Monday next, and the said Amendments to be printed[No. 206.]
