§ Moved, That the order made on the 16th day of March last, "That no Provisional Order Confirmation Bill brought from the House of Commons shall be read a second time after the 18th day of June next," be dispensed with, and that the Bill be now read 2a.—(The Earl of Denbigh.)
§ LORD BALFOUR OF BURLEIGHI made it a condition of agreeing to the suspension of the Standing Order in this case that there should be no opposition to the Provisional Order. I have had communications both from the Chief Secretary and the Attorney-General for Ireland that that is so, and I am satisfied that the request for the suspension of the Standing Order is a reasonable one in all the circumstances.
§ On Question, Motion agreed to. Bill read 2a accordingly and committed to a Committee of the Whole House on Thursday next.
