Return of all British ships ordered by the Board of Trade or its officers, during the period from 1st July, 1903, to 30th June, 1904, to be provisionally detained as unsafe by reason of the defective condition of their hulls, equipments, or machinery, or by reason of overloading or improper loading, etc.; also of all foreign ships ordered to be provisionally detained during the same period as unsafe by reason of overloading or improper load- ing; together with summaries showing respectively the total number of ships ordered to be detained as unsafe, from 1st July, 1903, to 30th June, 1904, and since the 1st October, 1876 (in continuation of Parliamentary Paper [Cd. 1715.].
