HL Deb 26 May 1903 vol 122 c1760

House in Committee (according to order).

On the Motion of the Lord Chancellor, a new clause was inserted, providing that a solicitor may be appointed a Justice of the Peace for any county in England or Wales, but it shall not be lawful for any solicitor being a Justice to practice himself or by any partner directly or indirectly before any Court of summary jurisdiction or quarter sessions for that county.

Bill re-committed to the Standing Committee, and to be printed as amended. (No. 93.)
