HL Deb 19 May 1903 vol 122 c1048

Order of the day read for the House going into Committee.

LORD ALVERSTONE

Before your Lordships go into Committee on this Bill, I desire to say that my attention has been called to the fact that even in the reduced form in which the Bill comes before your Lordships from the Select Committee, there are many Amendments of the Act of 1890. I shall, therefore, in deference to the wishes of noble Lords opposite, introduce a Consolidation Bill which will make the two measures read together, and which can be sent down to the other House, and be dealt with at the same time as this Bill.

House in Committee (according to Order).

Amendments proposed by the Select Committee made and Bill recommitted to the Standing Committee.
