§ The LORD CHANCELLOR acquainted the House, that the Clerk of the Parliaments had laid upon the Table the Certificates from the Examiners that the further Standing Orders applicable to the following Bills have been complied with:

§ Exeter Corporation Bill [H.L.]; Preston and Horwich Tramways Bill [H.L.]; Report from the Committee of Selection, That the Lord Hylton be proposed to the House as a Member of the Select Committee on the said Bills in the place of the Lord Aberdare. Read, and agreed to.
§ Broadstairs Gas Bill. The Chairman of Committees informed the House that the opposition to the Bill was withdrawn. The orders made on Tuesday last and yesterday discharged, and Bill committed.
§ Bangor Corporation Bill [H.L]. The Chairman of Committees informed the House that the opposition to the Bill 406 was withdrawn: The orders made on the 27th of April last and yesterday discharged, and Bill committed.
§ Belfast Water Bill [H.L.]. Report from the Select Committee, That the Committee had not proceeded with the consideration of the Bill, the Committee having found that the petitioner had no locus standi before them; read, and ordered to lie on the Table. The orders made on the 9th of March and the 28th of April last discharged, and Bill committed for Thursday next.
§ Southampton Harbour Bill [H.L.]. Read 3a, and passed, and sent to the Commons.
§ Oldham Corporation Bill [H.L.]. Report from the Select Committee, That it is not expedient to proceed further with the Bill; read, and ordered to lie on the Table.
§ Macclesfield and District Electric Tramways Bill [H.L.]. Report from the Select Committee, That the promoters do not intend to proceed further with the Bill; Ordered that the Bill be not further proceeded with.
