§ Commons Message considered (according to Order): Moved, that this House do concur in the following resolution, communicated by the Commons, viz., That it is expedient that a Select Committee of the House of Commons be appointed to join with a Committee of this House to consider and report as to the principles which should govern powers given by Bills and Provisional Orders to municipal and other local authorities for industrial enterprise within or without the area of their jurisdiction—(The Lord President (Duke of Devonshire)); agreed to; and a Message ordered to be sent to the Commons to acquaint them therewith.
