HL Deb 17 April 1902 vol 106 cc457-8

[SECOND READING.]

Order of the day for the Second Reading read.

THE EARL OF HALSBURY

said the Bill was intended to amend the Matrimonial Causes Acts, 1857 and 1866, by extending the powers of the Court in relation to alimony and leave to intervene. In this way one or two defects in the administration of the law would be remedied.

Bill read 2a (according to order), and committed to a Committee of the Whole House tomorrow.
