HL Deb 15 March 1901 vol 91 c45

[SECOND READING,]

Order of the Day for the Second Heading read.

THE LORD CHANCELLOR OF IRELAND (Lord ASHBOURNE)

My Lords, this is substantially the same Bill as your Lordships passed last session. Its object is to introduce several small Amendments with regard to the procedure of the Irish County Courts. The Amendments have been largely, if not entirely, framed on what has been found to work very well in England; and I hope your Lordships will give the Bill a Second Reading.

Moved, "That the Bill be now read 2a"—(Lord Ashbourne.)

On Question, agreed to. Bill read 2ª"accordingly, and committed to a Committee of the Whole House on Thursday next.

House adjourned at five minutes past Seven of the clock, to Monday next, a quarter before Eleven of the clock.
