Cross Petition of Henry Duke of Norfolk, Earl of Surrey, Earl of Norfolk, Lord Maltravers, Lord Fitzalan of Clun and Oswaldestre, and Earl Marshal and Hereditary Marshal of England, Knight of the most Honourable Order of the Garter, praying (1) That he may he permitted to appear before their Lordships, by his counsel and agents, to be heard on the petition of Charles Botolph Joseph, Lord Mowbray, Lord Segrave, and Baron and Lord Stoutrton of Stourton, presented on the 21st of this instant February; and (2) That their Lordships will be pleased to signify to the Petitioner whether or not their Lordships will require him, under the circumstances of the case, to lodge a printed ease and to produce evidence of his descent from Thomas Earl of Arundel and Surrey, in 1644 to the present time, in order to prove his title to the Earldom of Norfolk, alleged to have been conferred on the said Thomas in 1644; read, and referred to the Committee for Privileges.
