The LORD CHANCELLOR acquainted the House that Her Majesty had (by Commission) appointed the present and future Lords of Appeal in Ordinary, or one of them, Speaker of the House for the purpose of the hearing and determination of Appeals and the matters connected therewith, in the absence of the Lord Chancellor or Lord Keeper of the Great Seal, or any former Lord Chancellor or Lord Keeper of the Great Seal.
