HL Deb 15 February 1900 vol 79 c12
THE EARL OF CAMPERDOWN

The noble Earl the Under Secretary of State for the Colonies has asked me to postpone the following question standing in my name—namely: To ask Her Majesty's Government whether the cattle and other property of combatants Boers are to be exempted from seizure, and, if so, for what reason; also, to ask whether the Zulus and other natives whose country may be invaded by the Boers are prohibited from defending themselves from invasion, and, if so, for what reason. I have agreed to do so.
