§ The FIRST SESSION OF THE FIFTEENTH PARLIAMENT of Her Majesty the Queen, and the Twenty-seventh Parliament of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Ireland, was opened by commission at Two o'clock.
§ The Lords Commissioners were:—The Lord Chancellor (the Earl of Halsbury), the EARL OF CLARENDON, the EARL OF KINTORE, the EARL OF PEMBROKE AND MONTGOMERY and LORD BELPER.
§ The Commons (who were sent for) being at the Bar, were directed to proceed to the choice of a Speaker, and to present such person whom they should so choose here to-morrow, at Twelve o'clock, for Her Majesty's Royal Approbation.
2§ The LORD CHANCELLOR, singly in the first place, took Oath at the Table.
