The FIRST SESSION OF THE FIFTEENTH PARLIAMENT of Her Majesty the Queen, and the Twenty-seventh Parliament of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Ireland, was opened by commission at Two o'clock.

The Lords Commissioners were:—The Lord Chancellor (the Earl of Halsbury), the EARL OF CLARENDON, the EARL OF KINTORE, the EARL OF PEMBROKE AND MONTGOMERY and LORD BELPER.

The Commons (who were sent for) being at the Bar, were directed to proceed to the choice of a Speaker, and to present such person whom they should so choose here to-morrow, at Twelve o'clock, for Her Majesty's Royal Approbation.

The LORD CHANCELLOR, singly in the first place, took Oath at the Table.
