HL Deb 14 March 1899 vol 68 cc667-8

Motion made, and Question proposed— That this Bill be read a second time."— (Lord de Vesci.)

LORD DE VESCI

My Lords, this is a small Bill which I understand has passed through all its stages in the other House without opposition. Under the present law, the shooting season in Ireland for partridges begins on September 20, and ends on January 10. This Bill provides that the season shall run from 1st September to 1st February, the same as in England.

Question put.

Bill read a second time, and committed to a Committee of the Whole-House on Friday next.
