§ THE LORD CHANCELLOR (The Earl of HALSBURY)My Lords, in moving the Second Reading of this Bill I may explain that the effect of it will be to enable bodies corporate to acquire and hold real or personal property as joint tenants. That is the only object of the Bill, and I do not think there can be any objection to it.
