HL Deb 21 January 1897 vol 45 c173
THE PRIME MINISTER (The MARQUESS OF SALISBURY)

I am told that there is no business on the Paper for the next few days, and I do not know that any support is given to the Constitution by our coming here without business. [Laughter.] I should suggest that we adjourn until Thursday, and I move accordingly.

House adjourned at Twenty-five minutes before Five o'clock, to Thursday next, a Quarter past Four o'clock.
