§ VISCOUNT CRANBROOKI think your Lordships will see that this is a case in which suspension was impossible. The Code could only be continued or abandoned. It has been withdrawn; but the subject will, of course, receive the consideration of Her Majesty's Government.
§ EARL GRANVILLEI can only express my great regret at the information, more particularly after the complete manner in which the Lord President on various occasions in your Lordships' House defended the provisions of the Code.
