HL Deb 10 July 1888 vol 328 c872
EARL GRANVILLE

asked the noble Marquess, whether next week he would be prepared to state the Order of Business in that House, and whether the Local Government Bill would be taken before the Adjournment?

THE MARQUESS OF SALISBURY

said, that if the Local Government Bill, by a sudden spurt on the part of the House of Commons, came up to the House of Lords by the 25th July, or even later, they might consider it; but, with reference to that Bill and the Adjournment to the Autumn Session, the convenience of their Lordships would be consulted.
