HL Deb 22 June 1886 vol 307 cc185-6
THE EARL OF HARROWBY

asked the Postmaster General, Whether any decision had been arrived at by Her Majesty's Government as to the proposal from Canada for a British mail service from Liverpool to China, Japan, and India, by the route of the Canadian Pacific Railway?

THE POSTMASTER GENERAL (Lord WOLVERTON)

said, that the question, which was one of great importance, had been under the consideration of an Inter-Departmental Committee, which had not, as yet, reported. He could not, therefore, answer the Question of the noble Earl.
