§ Earl WINTERTONThe latest reports received indicate that peaceful conditions prevail in Chumparun. Additional police have been for some time past quartered in the areas formerly disturbed. In the one case in which compensation is known to have been claimed, the demand was excessive, and orders for its collection were delayed by the necessity of making a proper valuation.
