§ 98. Mr. STANTONasked the Minister of Health if he is aware that the Aberdare Council's housing scheme has turned out to be a failure; that the original estimate per house was £750; that only 23 houses have been completed during the last two years; and that the cost has gone over £2,000 per house; and will he, in the interests of the citizens of Aberdare, institute an inquiry at once, with a view to ending such use of the ratepayers' money?
§ The MINISTER of HEALTH (Sir Alfred Mond)I have already caused a special investigation to be made into the progress and cost of this scheme, and the inspector's report is now under consideration.
