HC Deb 13 March 1922 vol 151 c1743
32. Lieut.-Colonel Sir F. HALL

asked the Prime Minister whether the question of the trial of the German war criminals will be included among the matters to be dealt with by the Conference at Genoa?

Mr. CHAMBERLAIN

No, Sir.

Sir F. HALL

Considering all the promises that were made by the Government that these people should be brought to trial, and considering the farcical trials that have, taken place at Leipzig, does not my right hon. Friend think that some attention might be given to this matter at Genoa?

Mr. CHAMBERLAIN

I do not think that Genoa would be the proper place to discuss my hon. Friend's arguments.

Sir J. BUTCHER

Has the Supreme Council yet given its consent to the publication of the report of the trials?

Mr. CHAMBERLAIN

I must have notice of that question.
