HC Deb 01 March 1922 vol 151 cc353-4
33. Colonel Sir A. SPROT

asked the Minister of Health how many ex-service men are under notice of dismissal; and whether the Lytton Report recommenda- tions have been carried out as regards these discharges, especially in regard to technical classes?

The MINISTER of HEALTH (Sir Alfred Mond)

There are 302 ex-service men under notice of discharge in the Ministry of Health, due to curtailment of work and consequent reduction of staff. The recommendations in the Lytton Report have been carried out. With regard to the technical classes, I would refer to the answer given by me on Monday last to the hon. and gallant Member for Hertford (Rear-Admiral Sueter).
