HC Deb 13 February 1922 vol 150 c603
52. Lord H. CAVENDISH-BENTINCK

asked the Prime Minister whether his attention has been called to the fact that the Indian Legislative Assembly recently placed on record its opinion that the present development of the Indian constitution would justify an examination of the whole problem before the expiry of the ten years prescribed by the Government of India Act; and what steps His Majesty's Government proposes to take in the matter?

The PRIME MINISTER

My right hon. Friend the Secretary of State for India proposes to deal with this question in to-morrow's Debate, and perhaps the Noble Lord will await his statement.
