HC Deb 26 April 1922 vol 153 c539
4. Viscount CURZON

asked the Parliamentary Secretary to the Admiralty whether he is aware of the intense anxiety felt by many officers and men of the Royal Navy as to their future; and whether he can now state how the Admiralty propose to deal with officers and men of the Royal Navy surplus to requirements?

Mr. AMERY

I regret I am still not in a position to add anything to the reply given to my Noble and gallant Friend on the 5th April. The Admiralty, however, fully realise the importance of the matter, and an announcement will be made as soon as a decision has been given.

Viscount CURZON

Will the hon. Gentleman convey to the Lords of the Admiralty the intense anxiety felt by a great many Members?

Mr. AMERY

I fully realise that.
