§ 19. Mr. J. GARDINERasked the President of the Board of Trade to whom was the farina manufactured at King's Lynn disposed of; what sum was received for it; and what was the profit or loss on the transaction?
§ Mr. BALDWINThe portion which has been sold was placed on the market in the usual commercial way through a broker. As a considerable portion of the farina manufactured remains unsold it is impossible to state what will be the profit or loss on the transaction. For fuller details of those transactions I would refer my hon. Friend to the Reports from the Committee of Public Accounts (House of Commons Paper, 231).
§ Mr. GARDINERWould it be right to say that the land has since been lying waste?
§ Mr. BALDWINPerhaps the hon. Gentleman will put down a question.
§ Major M. WOODHas the Government disposed of all its mills?
§ Mr. BALDWINNot all yet.
