§ Lieut.-Colonel Sir J. GILMOUR (for the First Commissioner of Works)The number of buildings provided for in 1913–14 was approximately 500, compared with 1,170 in the current financial year. For a true comparison I would refer the hon. Member to the printed estimates for the two years in question, from which he will see that there is a provision this year of £512,000 in respect of services, arising out of the War; £178,000 for the extension of an existing building at Kew; and £120,000 for additional accommodation for Labour Exchanges.
