HC Deb 12 April 1921 vol 140 c917
46. Viscountess ASTOR

asked the Prime Minister whether, in view of the wide support throughout the country accorded to the Bishop of London's Criminal Law Amendment Bill, he can give an assurance that the Government intend to adopt it and to introduce it into the House of Commons at an early date?

Mr. CHAMBERLAIN

I can only say at the present time that if I find that this Bill can be treated as a non-controversial measure, the Government will endeavour to facilitate its passage towards the end of the Session.
