§ 33. Lieut.-Colonel HURSTasked the Minister of Health whether women are to be allotted not more than 50 executive posts upon re-grading; and whether he will undertake that the 66 first-class women clerks and 210 second-class women clerks now in the service of his Ministry shall be respectively posted to the executive and administrative grades in all cases where they are now performing the duties appropriate to such grades?
§ Sir A. MONDThe reorganisation scheme for the Ministry of Health is still before the Treasury, and the number of executive posts available for men and women is unknown. I am therefore unable to give the undertaking which the hon. and gallant Member desires, but I can assure him that the claims of the first and second class women clerks now in the Ministry will receive the fullest consideration.
