REMNANTasked the Secretary of State for the Home Department whether the Order under Section 3 of the Pensions (Increase) Act, 1920, extending the provisions of the Act to police pensioners has yet been made; and, if so, whether local authorities have been in- 1067 structed to issue application forms as promptly as possible in order that the distress prevalent amongst aged and necessitous pensioners may be relieved immediately?
§ Mr. SHORTTYes, Sir. The Order has been made and police authorities have been asked to issue forms of application to all pensioners who appear to come within the provisions of the Act, and I have no doubt they are doing so.
