HC Deb 20 October 1920 vol 133 c914
35. Sir A. YEO

asked the Chancellor of the Exchequer whether he can give any forecast as to when he will be able to intro duce his normal Budget?

37. Mr. PURCHASE

asked the Chancellor of the Exchequer whether the policy which he has foreshadowed of diminishing the subsidies or grants-in-aid brings within the near future the probability of his being able to introduce the normal Budget; and, if so, can he state when he expects to be able to reach this consummation?

The CHANCELLOR of the EXCHEQUER (Mr. Chamberlain)

The answer to both questions is in the negative.

Mr. BOTTOMLEY

May I ask whether the right hon. Gentleman proposes this year to make any supplementary Budget statement, as he did last October?

Mr. CHAMBERLAIN

Not as at present advised.
