HC Deb 17 November 1920 vol 134 c1873
60. Mr. PENNEFATHER

asked the Minister of Health whether he is able to make any comparisons between the progress of house-building in this country and in the United Stales, and also between this country and other European countries; and, if so, will he make a statement?

Dr. ADDISON

I am sending the hon. Member a copy of an issue of "Housing" in which the particulars then in the possession of the Ministry are summarised. If he desires further information on any specific point I will endeavour to obtain it, but I may say that such information as is at my disposal goes to show that more rapid progress is being made in housebuilding in this country than in any of the other countries referred to in the question.
