HC Deb 16 November 1920 vol 134 c1706
65. Mr. CAIRNS

asked the Minister of Pensions if he is aware of general agitation and discontent among demobilised and discharged men in respect of their insufficient pensions and allowances; and will he set up an impartial tribunal to inquire and report on this matter?

Major TRYON

I would refer my hon. Friend to the answer given to the hon. Member for the Northern Division of Paddington (Mr. Perring) on the 1st November, of which I am sending him a copy.

Mr. CAIRNS

Is the hon. and gallant Gentleman aware that there are ex-service men who have been out of work for 14 weeks and cannot get a job anywhere?

Major TRYON

The question of being out of work is not a question for the Ministry of Pensions.
