§ Ms HewittThe Treasury published a consultation document today with proposals to ease some of the current restrictions on credit unions, designed to encourage their growth whilst maintaining their traditional focus on the lower paid. The document also seeks views on the appropriate form of regulation when responsibility for it transfers from the Registry of Friendly Societies to the Financial Services Authority.
