HL Deb 15 January 1980 vol 404 cc98-9WA
Lord BARNBY

asked Her Majesty's Government:

What is, from the latest figures available, the estimated non-white human population of the Greater London area.

Lord CULLEN of ASHBOURNE

Information collected in the 1971 Census of Population and more recent sample surveys suggests that the non-white population of Greater London is currently of the order of 0.9 million people.
