HL Deb 07 February 1980 vol 404 cc1588-9WA
Lord NOEL-BAKER

asked Her Majesty's Government:

How many children were injured during the calendar years 1978 and 1979 while travelling by omnibus to schools in places distant from their homes.

Lord MOWBRAY and STOURTON

My right honourable friend the Minister of Transport regrets that the information is not available in the form requested. In 1978 there were 227 bus and coach user casualties aged five-15 between the hours of 7 a.m. and 9 a.m. on Mondays to Fridays; there were no fatalities.
