§ Mr. Kilfedderasked the Secretary of State for Foreign and Commonwealth Affairs whether it is his intention, when compiling the register of European electors for the purposes of Article 138 of the Treaty of Rome, to include potential voters who may also be entitled to vote in the Republic of Eire.
§ Mr. RipponThis is a matter which it would only be appropriate to consider when agreement has been reached on a timetable for the institution of direct elections to the European Parliament.
